There is a fuse shortage.

Problems with the fuse supply began in late 2019 with an explosion at a fireworks factory in Liuyang, China. This caused a complete shutdown of all Chinese fuse factories which meant no fuse was being produced. Shortly after this, the pandemic was declared and all of China including import/export shut down completely. For the entirety of 2020 there were no shipments of fuse or fireworks from China. When China finally did reopen, the sheer volume of products needing to be exported far exceeded container ship capacity and the demand caused the cost of shipping to triple. Plus due to being shorthanded on both ports due to Covid-19 the delays are increasing. What this mans is that fuse from China couldn’t ship, was delayed in transport and then delayed on arrival all while costs of product manufacturing, storage and shipping have skyrocketed.

What this means for American Cannons fuse – while the American Visco fuse is Made in America, the lack of other fuse options on the market have caused firework manufacturers and other fuse needs to be fulfilled by any other means. This has caused a rush on the American supply and now we are all being limited. This limitation is, unfortunately, needing to be passed along to our customers.
